Trade of Minor Forest Produce
We supply and export both raw herbs and processed forest products.The Raw herbs including medicinal plants from the natural forests are collected with utmost care through local self-help groups/ joint Forest Management committees/ primary forest produce co-operative societies through non-destructive harvesting techniques. After collection the raw material is graded and packed as per the quality standards.
The federation established NWFP based micro enterprises to promote processing and value addition of the raw products through local SHG's. These micro enterprises obtained technical, financial and marketing support from the federation. Accordingly 6 NWFP marts have been established in the various parts of the state to purchase and sale the above produce at a fixed price. This step provides remunerative price to local SHG's and competitive price to traders and industries.
The federation has chain of retail outlets named Sanjeevani throughout the state to promote retail marketing. Accordingly our collection can be broadly classified as follows:

Ensuring our clients receive the best quality herbs & other natural items,we lay immense emphasis on quality maintenance. Every process including collection, sorting, processing & packing is carefully and skillfully carried out in hygienic conditions,assuring the end products range is in sync with the defined quality norms.
Infestation by pests is cured by fumigation
Foreign matter–stones,hair,excreta is removed by careful sorting
Poor microbiological quality is improved by applying better methods of harvesting, handling and washing
Mould growth after packaging is avoided by drying the range to correct moisture content.
âWe also maintain a walk-in cooler that is used to store some herbs in order to preserve their freshness.
The raw honey is processed in the sophisticated processing plants of MFP (Minor Forest Produce)federation.This processed honey is further certified by AGMARK as special grade.
