Description Mobile Hydro-Mechanical Coal Sampling Equipment.
This Equipment has a 300 Dia., 1.8 Meter length Auger mounted on a Hydraulically-operated Retractable Arm.
The Auger is raised above the wagon and then lowered with the Auger motor on.
Cutting action of Auger enables it to go down in the coal up to desired depth and pick up the sample.
The Auger Motor is stopped and it is pulled up above the coal.
Auger Motor is reversed and the sample is collected in the desired Bin.
This Equipment has a hydraulically-operated Operator-Cabin that enables the Operator to see the Auger at all times.
This complete assembly is mounted on a mobile unit that can easily go to the Rail-wagon to be sampled.
The Auger is pulled out and reversed to collect the coal sample.
